Highlights from This Issue of the Bong Center Newsletter:

  • Battle for the Bong Center: Join us May 19th as our former Junior Curators Paige and Ari deliver their senior project, Battle for the Bong Center! This softball game against Northwestern HS raises money and awareness for veterans and the Bong Center.

  • Family Fun Day: May 24th will open summer, introduce our student flight simulator, and bring all kinds of fun! The one dollar “Fun Pass” will be donated to the “Flora Oveson Scholarship” and gives you admission, a free concert from Dance Attic, K-9 demos, Douglas County Humane Society, Chalk Art competition, snacks and more!

  • Volunteer of the Year: Learn about our amazing Clint Mattson!

  • History Powered by the Sun: Our Solar For Good project is live and rolling towards saving energy dollars for the Bong Center.

  • Intern Impact: Curator Briana Fiandt shares the energy and successes of our four spring interns, three onsite: Grace Cunnien,  Aydan DeCoursey, and Mitchell Trantow. Graduate Library Studies intern, Aly Sveeggen, from UW-Madison, worked remotely.
