National Dog Day
- This amazing photo was taken in November 1942 when Dick Bong was home. We get to see our Ace of Aces nose to nose with his good boy Speaks.
August 26th is considered National Dog Day in the US. We adore dogs at the Bong Center but can only have working dogs in the museum. We love seeing all the good boys and girls on the Osaugie Trail, which is right next to the museum by the cool water of Lake Superior.Â
Not only are we an amazing museum, we are also the location for the Superior Tourist Information Center. Located right inside our front doors, all the maps and guide books you will need to explore Wisconsin, Minnesota, and more!
