Marge and the Major

Marge and the Major

It all begins with two Superior young adults. During WWII Richard I. Bong became our nations Aces of Aces after setting a new record for victories in the air. As a native Superiorite, Bong was introduced to many women, including his future wife, Marge Vattendahl. After telling Marge they likely would never be something serious since he was still fighting in the Pacific, their relationship became public interest and was transformed into being Superiors Sweethearts. Learn more about their love story that ended in tragedy with our Marge and the Major tour. This opportunity helps us provide a first job experience for local high school students!

Heavy Metal

Heavy Metal

The P-38 was instrumental in the success of America in WWII. Its unique design and modern capabilities gave this fighter a winning chance against Japanese Zeros in the Pacific. Get an exclusive look at our P-38J ‘Marge’ cockpit and learn more about our M-60 ‘Patton’ tank on our Heavy Metal Tour! This opportunity helps us provide a first job experience for local high school students! Available Summer (June-September) OR By Appointment.
