Stuffie Boot Camp returns on March 13

The Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center is hosting their 3rd Annual Stuffie Boot Camp on March 13.  This boot camp is designed specifically to be a fun and educational event for children Pre-K through third grade or for anyone who has a stuffed animal.  Put your stuffed animal to the test and see if they have what it takes to make it through boot camp!

On March 13, kids (or adults) will have the opportunity to enlist their favorite stuffie into Stuffie Boot Camp from 3 to 7 pm. During enlistment, participants will be able do some coloring and enjoy a snack with their favorite stuffed animal.   After drop off, the stuffie will be put through an experience like no other. Special activities include the popsicle stick wall climb, cargo net crawl, gum drop grenade toss and learning how to fly the P-38.

Stuffie owners will return to the Center on March 14 from 9 am to Noon and pick up their precious friend. The participant will receive a customized dog tag, free museum admission to see the activities your animal experienced, discharge papers filled with photos, and a report of their activities.

The cost for this event is $10 per stuffed animal.  Registration is available for this event through the Center website at  Walk-in registrations will be taken but pre-registration is preferred. Get your tickets today through Eventbrite!
