Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center to Close to the Public Effective March 17, 2020 due to COVID-19 Pandemic

In an effort to protect our visitors, our volunteers, our staff, and our community against the spread of COVID-19, the Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center will be closing to the public beginning Tuesday, March 17 through Tuesday, March 31. We take the health and well-being of all those who support and enjoy the Center seriously and feel that this decision is in the best interest of all.

Our goal is to reopen to the public on Wednesday, April 1, pending a reevaluation of the current state of the pandemic and whether a longer closure is necessary. Staff will be available, based on their work schedule, by phone or email during this time Monday through Friday.

During this closure, staff will be working on new exhibits scheduled to open in July, planning new and future events, and other projects to prepare for visitors throughout 2020. We’ll also take the opportunity to post some fun content on social media so that the public may stay connected with us.

Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to welcoming visitors again soon!
